Gusztáv Hámos is an artist and curator. His film and video works often explore the nexus of media and reality, and the significance of myths and heroes in popular culture. He has shown works at Tate Modern, London; MoMA, New York; Neuer Berliner Kunstverein, Berlin; documenta 8, Kassel; and the Cannes Film Festival. He was artist-in-residence at P.S. 1, New York (1988). His work is included in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, New York, United States; of the Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, France and of the Neuer Berliner Kunstverein Berlin.
