Dorine Mignot is a curator in the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam since 1974. She started organizing the museum collection of video tapes and installations. In the exhibitions of video art we can mention retrospectives of Vito Acconci, Gery Schum and Nam June Paik at the end of the seventies. She made a special effort to integrate video art in the realm of painting and sculpture by participating in organizing exhibitions with other scopes in which video art plays her part as a contemporary medium. For instance 60'80 Attitudes/ Concepts/ Images in 1982, Energies in 1990, Notion of Conflict in 1995 and Under Capricorn/ The World Over in 1996.
