In 1997, after graduating from Tel Aviv University Film & TV Program, Guli Silberstein moved to New York City, receiving a M.A. in Media Studies from the New School University, where he was introduced to digital video. He then created his debut video work ‘Schizophrenic State’, and started working as a professional video editor and teacher. In 2002, Guli returned to Tel Aviv, Israel, continuing to work in video editing and teaching, and creating new video works. His works have been screened in more than 40 festivals and galleries worldwide, including: Transmediale in Berlin, Jerusalem Film Festival, Académie Libanaise des Beaux Arts in Lebanon, Videoformes Festival and Centre Pompidou in France, and LA Freewaves in Los Angeles.
