The project UDDQEM (Um dia Depois que Eu Morrer – one day after I die) was created in São Paulo in 2004. Comprised of the artist duo Ricardo Carioba and Fábio Torres, the group devised abstract sensory forms based on the audio-video relationship. Images were pre-edited and shown in single channel format. Carioba explains: “We create expressions that are used as parameters for devising the work. The expressive qualities configured by audio and video come to being in relationship, creating time and spaces of effectuation.” Their work combines graphic and sensory elements with noisy, experimental soundtracks. The duo also worked in the Müvi musical project, which released the album Você pensa e faz ao contrário, in 2005, followed by the quadraphonic piece Taking Place of Surface, performed at the São Paulo State Art Gallery (Pinacoteca).
