One of Brazil’s first animation artists. Started his career as a cartoonist and illustrator for newspapers and magazines. Published on newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, magazines Movimento and Versus, and the seminal weekly newspaper O Pasquim. Turned to animation in the 1980s. Worked with Maurício de Souza and on TV Cultura’s Castelo Rá Tim Bum show. He was one of the founders of the Brazilian Animated Film Association (ABCA). Won the Best Script and Jury prizes at the 2000 edition of the Gramado Festival for the animation Almas em Chamas. Lives and works in São Paulo.
