Dancer, performer and choreographer who lives and works in Sydney. He has made installations and performances, all of which are based on the body as the mediator of spatial experiences. His work usually requires large locations and teams of artists to be performed. In 1992 he founded the dance and performance company Gravity Feed, with which he worked until 2004. In 2000, he created the group G.R.I, of which he is still a part. He has been strongly influenced by Butoh, a language he studied in Japan with the dancer Min Tanaka, and he has featured in some of Tanaka’s performances from 1989 to 1991. In 1996 he undertook a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. From 1972 to 1974 he lived in the United Kingdom, where he studied Design at the University of Reading, in Berkshire County, but dropped out. He holds a master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of New South Wales, in Sydney.
