Moved to São Paulo in 1981. In 1984 he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he attempted a career as a musician in rock-and-roll bands. In 1985 he started working professionally with comic books and animation, a universe he developed his entire career in. He served as an art assistant at Abril publishing company. From 1987 on he animated several cartoons for Hanna Barbera studios, such as Smurfs, Flintstones in the Golden Age, and Snorkels. He created comic book adaptations for the cartoons He-Man, Thundercats and Bravestar. He set up his own publishing company, Volt, on which he issued the Alta Voltagem magazine. He was the creator of the character Quebra-Queixo, a futuristic, steroid-fueled hero. He was a partner and founder of studios Fábrica de Quadrinhos and Quanta Studio. A renowned comic book author, he is in demand from publishers in Brazil and the United States. Lives and works in São Paulo.
