She is a filmmaker, psychoanalyst and editor. Started her career as an editor, in the short films A Mulher Fatal Encontra O Homem Ideal, from 1987, by Carla Camurati; Hip Hop, from 1990, and Rota ABC, from 1991, by the director Francisco César Filho; and Jogo da Memória, from 1992, by Denise Vieira Pinto. Afterwards she worked as an editor in feature films Acquaria, by Flávia Moraes, and Contra Todos, by Roberto Moreira, both in 2003. As a filmmaker, she debuted with the short film Pós-Modernidade, from 1989, and also directed 1997’s Terra do Mar, about island dwellers in the north coast of the state of Paraná. She graduated in Film from the School of Communications and Arts of the University of São Paulo, and in Psychoanalysis from Instituto Sedes Sapientiae, seeing patients in a private practice. She has been a professor at the Columbia College, in Chicago, at the School of Communications and Arts at USP, and at Anhembi-Morumbi University. Lives and works in São Paulo.
