Anthropologist and managing director of Rio de Janeiro’s Casa do Pontal Museum. As a researcher, she explores issues relating to folk art museography and collectionism in Brazil. She has published the books O Mundo da Arte Popular Brasileira (2002) and Arte Popular: Arte de Ponta (2004). Holds a degree in Art Education from Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP), and a master’s degree in Visual Arts and a PhD in Anthropology, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
