She makes a law degree before starting her formal studies in Visual Arts at Universidad Catolica de Chile, in Santiago obtaining her Bachelor diploma in 2000. She starts developing video and photography as main fields of work. In 2003 she is selected in the two-year residency program of Le Fresnoy, Studio national de arts contemporains, France. In 2006 she is selected for the residency program at Cité des Arts, Paris, city where she lives until now. Saquel’s video works belongs to both private and public collections such as Kadist Art Foundation, Paris; Jean Conrad and Isabelle Lemaitre, Paris; FRAC Alsace, France. Her works have been showed in worldwide films festivals, museums and gallerys: Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, Paris; Grand Palais, Paris; Fondation Joan Mirô, Barcelona; Württembergischer Kunstverein Stuttgart, Germany; Bloomberg Space, London; Casa Massaccio, San Giovanni Valdarno, Italy; Harbourfront Center, Toronto
