Neyeri Avalos, an experimental video artist, is a graduate with a degree in Communication. Began to work in video when she was 15 years old. Her work was exhibited in the XIII Las Américas University’s Communication Congress “Destiny and Commitment 2001”, in the collective shows The Alvvaca Gallery and TECH MEX, both in Mexico, and in the Moov 2002 Perimeter Media+Culture Projects, in New York. As a result of her work on an academic thesis on Freudian psychoanalysis and psychotherapeutic use of video, developed what she calls “Videotherapy” –which is about the use of video as a self-awareness expression and tool. Currently studies Psychology at the University of Morelia, Mexico.
