Soon after participating at the Venice Biennale (2005), Chelpa Ferro returns to Videobrasil, the Festival where it made its first performance in 1998. In this new performance, conventional instruments and instruments invented based on ordinary objects compose a sort of installation on stage. There are cyborg cellos and an orchestra of sewing machines attached to controllable electronic circuits. A drum set built with incense sticks disrupts the sound with the “silent solo” of its burning. Finally, electronic percussion, the friction of glass sheets with marbles and drum cymbals played by engines offers an experimental jam session, proposing a state of curiosity and contemplative willingness to listen to and reflect on the relations between sound and space.
