The artist describes the two versions of her piece Mecânica, featured in the 18th Festival. According to her, the pieces originated from exercises in drawing using bronze dust on silk paper, during a stay in London. She discusses the previous set-up of the same piece, shown at the Museum of Modern Art of São Paulo. She touches on the relationship of curiosity and mystery the piece develops with the audience. She also addresses the choice of using video throughout her career, stemming from the impossibility of exposing books. This limitation, she says, has ultimately opened up another front in her production.
