Public Programs coordinated by the program director of the 19th Festival, Thereza Farkas, permeated all axes of this edition. Through statements from its main participants, footage of the events, addresses and debates that were held, this video provides a short summary of what this public debate platform was about. Four sets of activities explore the contents of the Festival’s shows: the Seminar "Places and meanings in art: debates from the South", curated by Sabrina Moura, which reflects the possibilities of broadening art categories in contemporary times, the Workshops, hands-on language exercise sessions; the Meetings and conversations, informal opportunities of exchange; and the Mediated Actions hosted by the Festival’s educator team. Opinion-makers, researchers and professors, artists and curators have created a space for communication with the public and the art scene, focusing primarily on topics that relate to the wide spectrum of the Global South.
