Vitor Cesar describes his experience as resident at the A-I-R Laboratory, in Warsaw, Poland, and the birth of the project Anfibologia, tradução, which resulted in a site-specific installation, displayed in the exhibition Videobrasil Collection in Context #2. The artist comments on the way he developed sentences based on expressions, words and ideas derived from accounts of experiences in Warsaw — sentences that take into account the multiplicity of perspectives, contradictions and ambiguities brought about by the construction of perceptions regarding the city. The artist also talks about the composition of a book formed by these sentences as a part of the project, and the way his typographic and textual work reflects his interest for amphibology as an exploration of the ambiguities contained in his work, which have the power to resist categorization and open new apprehension possibilities.
