Essay Jérôme Lefdup, 1992

Jérôme Lefdup appears on earth in the morning of the Sixties. He begins to kill his parents nervous system, then uses his own musical talent to kill his friend's hearing system... (helped in that operation by his brother Denis). Finally, he plays with the cathode ray tube, trying that time to kill his contemporaries' ocular system...

The necessity of being a gang grows in his mind, so he founds, with Dominik Barbier, Yann Nguyen Minh, Larry Flash, Vero Goyo (and others who prefer to stay unkwnown), the mythical corporation named "Les Maîtres du Monde" (The Masters of The World).

From that day everything is possible for him, like making music from pictures, or pictures from sounds (for exemple), squatting during nights and days (and nights) at all the Parisian studios, recording kilometres of hysterical edits, composed exclusively by less-than-fifteen-frames-long sequences...

He feels that the magical potion he needs can result from mixture of all sorts of animated pictures (cartoons, video, cinema, 3D...) under the name of "composite images". It's why he now usually uses the Harry (digital mixer) as his bed with an Amiga (graphic PC) as a pillow: these are modern conveniences for the cold Parisian winter nights. But after so many years of audiovisual aggressiveness, Jérôme Lefdup still really thinks he works for Humanity's happiness.
