Between 1997 and 2001, she studied painting at the Lebanese University in Beirut (LB), between 2002 and 2006, she studied Fine Arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam (NL). She is currently a resident artist at the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam. She attended the Thupelo Workshops in South Africa, Cape-Town. She participated in exhibitions in Lebanon, i.e. “Figures Humaines” at Espace SD; A video and photography installation in Gallery Fennel, titled 150 Watts; and in Shou Taba, Ya Marra, in the Art Lounge, both in Beirut. She was the prize-winner of the “painting category” in Kentertainment Event, Beirut. In Amsterdam, she showed work at art venues such as 66East Gallery, the Urban Underworld, and at the Brakke Grond, the Flemish Cultural Centre in the exhibition titled Catalyst. She co-curated Zoom is Available, a video projection in a digital telescope, installed above the Club 11, Post CS. She also took part in the Oude Kerk Rietveld exhibition, as well as the Rietveld “End-exam” Exhibition. In Rotterdam she showed video installations in Squat Deluxe, and in Mama Showroom. Her video Rawane’s Song, was screened in Impakt Festival, Utrecht, and in the Victoria and Alberts Museum, in London, in the Friday Night Arabise me program. Her video Canteen Stories was screened in Coding-Decoding, and at Tate Modern within “In Focus”. Her video “As if I don’t fit there” was part of the Berlin show at Hebbel Theatre curated by Rabih Mroueh in January 2007.
