This presentation is based on the premise that the motion of local communities, generated through collective action, gives rise to a new kind of subjectivity. Within this context, identities are not just comprised of defensive reactions to the conditions imposed by global disorder and fast-paced, chaotic transformation; they are also possibilities of creating another reality. ‘Being in transit’ enables us to realize that some of the problems in the space we live in are similar to the ones found everywhere else in the world, and to perceive the need and possibility of creating alternative paths.
