In this work, a part of the Dízima periódica [Periodic decimal] series, which applies the mathematical concept to image, Miceli works with the last picture in the last film reel of photographer Robert Capa, who died in 1954 while covering the Indochina War. That last image, of soldiers crossing a minefield, and of a horizon never to be reached by the author, is turned into an “extended last second.”
