During the second focus, 18th Festival: Vectors And Inflexions, guests discuss issues pertaining to the shows featured in this edition of the Festival, and the core themes of the programs Southern Panoramas and 30 years.

Art shows are a field in which artwork spatialization strategies mingle with the visual supports proposed by design. Creators of Videobrasil's visual identities discuss how design converses with the narratives outlined by the shows, contributing to renovate video screening strategies in relation to other artistic languages.

About the participants:

Bill Martinez (Monterrey, Mexico, 1958) Designer. His work has been published in the Art Director/NY and Eco Design/Fiesp; he created the identity for the 3rd Videobrasil (1985).

Celso Longo (São Paulo, Brazil, 1977) and Daniel Trench (São Paulo, Brazil, 1978) Authors of the visual identity for the 18th Festival. Together, they’ve have created identity and signaling projects for organizations such as the Mário de Andrade Library and the Bahia Museum of Modern Art.

Angela Detanico (Caxias do Sul-RS, Brazil, 1974) and Rafael Lain (Caxias do Sul-RS, Brazil, 1973) The duo creates artwork that decodes the world's representation systems. Their work has featured at the Jeu de Paume (France) and at Fundação Iberê Camargo (Brazil). Detanico & Lain were responsible for Videobrasil's visual identities between 2001 and 2011.

Kiko Farkas (São Paulo, Brazil, 1957) Designer. He has created visual identities and graphic pieces for organizations, companies, and various editions of Videobrasil. His work featured in a retrospective at Centro Maria Antonia, São Paulo (2010).

Tatiana Ferraz (São Paulo, Brazil, 1974) Artist, architect and researcher. Holds an MA in Art History from ECA-USP (University of São Paulo). Is active within the area of research as well as catalog and art archival organisation since 2000. Currently, co-ordinates the research department of 30 years of Videobrasil.
