Advertising professional and filmmaker. Graduated in Radio and TV from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado in 1982. Throughout the 1980s he was a director, editor and cameraman at production company Olhar Eletrônico, where he started his career. There, he participated in production of documentaries and TV shows, as well as music videos for artists like Legião Urbana, Blitz, and Caetano Veloso. In 1993 he joined O2 Filmes, where he directed advertisements. These won him major prizes, like that of Festival Ojo de America, in Buenos Aires; and the advertising prize at Cannes Festival. In 2008, he directed episodes of the series Som & Fúria, on Rede Globo. In 2010, he had his debut as a feature film director with VIPs, which won the Best Film Prize at Rio Festival on that same year, plus three other trophies.
