In large-format installations, sculptures, and paintings of great impact, the mythical, the political, and the erotic are blended in a profusion of colors, figures, and materials. Composed of visual allegories akin to the baroque, his work lends shape to the violent facet of Christianization and colonialism imposed on populations of indigenous and African origin in Brazil. He exhibited at the 12th Lyon Biennale (2013), 31st Bienal de São Paulo (2014), and Dakar Biennale (2016). He lives in São Luís.
