Director, filmmaker and screenwriter; creates authorial and advertising films. Studied at the Escuela Nacional de Realización y Experimentación Cinematográfica in Buenos Aires. Following a successful career as director of photography, he premiered his first feature film, Picado fino, in 1994, which earned special mentions at the 1997 Berlin Film Festival and at the 1998 Havana International Festival; and won a Critics prize at the Montreal International Festival of New Cinema. He has directed over 400 advertisement films for companies like Telefónica, Propel, Unilever, Peugeot, Warner TV, Budweiser, Pepsi, Zurich, Ford, Visa, Telecom, Fernet Branca, LG, Repsol YPF and Renault, among others. In 2003 he directed two concerts by the singer Shakira, shot in 35 mm in Rotterdam and Buenos Aires, for Sony Music International, and a documentary on the artist’s tour. His second film, 2004’s La Antena, won the Best Director prize from the Argentinean Film Critics Association. Lives and works in Buenos Aires.
