Nijensohn works with video, performance, sound, and choreography to explore the monumentality of threatening natural environments. The artist has exhibited in galleries as Whitechapel, London (2010), and in collective shows such as the Singapore Biennale (2008), the International Triennale of Contemporary Art, Prague (2008), the Biennial at the End of the World, Ushuaia (2007), the 50th Venice Biennale (2003), the Bienal do Mercosul, Porto Alegre (2001), the Valencia Biennial (2001), and the 11th Contemporary Art Festival SESC_Videobrasil (1996).
