Stage designer. Lives and works in Rio de Janeiro. He emerged on the theatrical scene in the early 1990s, winning various awards and critical acclaim for his bold, inventive scenographic solutions. In Flávio de Souza’s Fica Comigo Esta Noite, for instance, he scaterred resin-coated clothes on the entire theater floor, forcing the audience to walk over them, and hung pieces of furniture above the audience’s heads. He is a frequent collaborator with director Hamilton Vaz Pereira and playwright Mauro Rasi, and with directors Marcus Alvisi, Miguel Falabella, Jacqueline Laurence, Antonio Abujamra and Denise Stoklos. The holder of a degree in Architecture from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, he is often responsible for the entire visual programming of shows, from posters to lighting. He also does work as an art director and designer.
