Stage designer and art director. She worked with film from 1985 to 1988 as an assistant director, still photographer, general producer, and costumes and props producer. From 1988 on she serves as art direction and stage design assistant to Fernando Novie, Sidney Biondani and Luis Ferré. In 1991 she launched her solo career, and has since collaborated with renowned advertising, film and TV directors such as Ugo Giorgetti, Cacá Diegues, Fernando Meirelles, Tadeu Jungle, Júlio Xavier, and Cao Hamburger, among others. In 1996 she had her directing debut with the short film Monalisa. In the following year she directed Sex Plex. After dropping out of college courses in Cinema and Journalism she moved to Italy, where she completed a degree in Art History from Università Degli Studi di Torino in Turin, 1985, and studied Stage Design in New York’s Pratt Institute in 1992.
