He became involved with animation while still pursuing a degree in Fine Arts, upon collaborating with his classmate Victor Hugo-Borges for his Course Conclusion Work, a stop-motion piece titled Klaustro that has featured in several contests, including the 8th Anima Mundi Festival and Festival de Cine-vídeo in Cuiabá. The piece’s acceptance led him to make two more animations with Borges: Des Fantastik Sucric and El Chateau. All of the videos have a noir, fantastic feel that is at times reminiscent of German expressionist cinema aesthetic, and at times allusive to Gothic 19th century literature.
