Audiovisual artist with a degree in Radio and Television from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado, and a specialization in direction of actors from the Cuban International Film School. He started his career in the 1980s by heading the independent production company Conecta Vídeo, of which he was one of the founding partners. He was an intensely active participant of the 1980s independent production movement. Highlight prizes include: Editor of the video VT Preparado AC JC, 1st Prize at 4th Videobrasil, 1986; Director and creator of the Pílulas Eletrônicas series, Mencion Vídeo Arte at the 3rd MAMM Video Biennial, Colombia, 1989; Director of the video Queda, 3rd Prize at the 1st Festival do Minuto, in 1991; Director of Photography and Co-Producer of the Documentary Beijoqueiro-Portrait of a Serial Kisser, awarded at the 1992 Netherlands, Belgium, Tokyo, and RioCine festivals; Director of the Music Video Vida de Artista, Honorable Mention, 29th Guarnicê Film Festival, 2006. He has featured in shows at Casa das Rosas, highlighting Rosas Rosa and México Imaginário. He has made several television works, having collaborating with news reports for TV Globo’s Programa Legal; he directed Micro-estórias, for TV Cultura’s Rá Tim Bum show. He created TV MIX Pílulas Eletrônicas, on TV Gazeta, and the Mau segment of TV Cultura’s Castelo Rá Tim Bum show. He is the director of TV Cultura’s Cultura no Intervalo series and several other productions on the same channel. Lives and works in São Paulo.
