Filmmaker. Lives and works in Belo Horizonte. Holds a master’s in Social Communication from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She was one of the founders of Centro de Produção Teia, where she remained for ten years, and where each member developed autonomous projects, establishing partnerships with the others for each production. The group also included Clarissa Campolina, Helvécio Marins Jr., Leonardo Barcelos, Pablo Lobato and Sérgio Borges. Her documentary-style films always center on a specific character or group, and attempt to delve into their intimacies. She has directed the films Aboio, in 2008, winner the Best Film prize at the É Tudo Verdade/It’s All True festival; A Falta que me faz, in 2009, winner of the Best Film prize at the Latin American Film Festival of São Paulo. In 2011 she had a retrospective show at the Dockanema Festival, in Mozambique, and had her work shown in a tribute from the Festival Visions du Réel, in Switzerland. She is currently a partner at Anavilhana Filmes, alongside Clarissa Campolina and Luana Melgaço.
