Studied Journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo from 1980 to 1985, where he met José Luiz Nogueira; together they founded the Conecta production company, which remained active from 1985 to 2002. Through college he was a member of the anarchist group De Corpo Inteiro, which famously invaded the university with jeeps, flowers and costumes in the early 1980s. He won prizes at the Videobrasil Festival, Festival do Minuto, and the Maranhão Video Festival. He has directed over 300 institutional videos and advertisements. He moved to Brasília in 2002; there, he founded Fabrika Filmes, once again with José Luiz Nogueira.
