He has worked as a cartoonist since 1991 and has featured in various humor salons, like those of Ribeirão Preto (1994, 1997 and 2000 editions) and Piracicaba (1999 and 2000) and in the 5th Biennal Contest of Ecological Cartoon in Yugoslavia, 2000. He graduated in Social Communication with a major in Radio and TV at the Júlio de Mesquita Filho State University in 1999. While in college he began making videos and acquired a taste for animation. Alongside colleagues he developed the course conclusion work A Odisséia de uma Vaca, a stop-motion animation with play-dough dolls, which won the Mapa Cultural Paulista 2000 prize, and won 3rd place at the Santo André Video Show. His biggest accolade was received for the video A Cor do Canarinho, using the same technique as in the previous piece. The work was awarded at the 3rd Video Festival of São Paulo’s Museum of Image and Sound. In 2000 he participated in a collection of socially themed animations, promoted by the charity project Casa-Rua, with the video Amém. He was a cameraman and a member of the support and editing crew for the Super 8 film Arlequim. He is a partner at the animation, video and design studio Usinanimada, in Ribeirão Preto.
