In an environment that resembles a chessboard or ballroom, an individual remains seated and still, surrounded by scrawls on the walls. Set to an operatic aria, the elements in the scene establish a dramaturgy of fantasy and optical illusion that comprise a subtle criticism of authoritarianism.
