The video accompanies the reflections characters cast on the water as they go about their daily chores, drawing upon the element’s symbolic reverberations as the origin of life and the medium through which mankind delves into the unknown. As the title suggests, the author looks at water in the form of a mirror, that seer’s instrument capable of reflecting the visible and invisible. At the same time as the film looks to the past and future from a place devoid of nostalgia or anxiety, it also questions the representation’s vital force.
