As if projecting snapshots of a trip, the artist reviews the memories of three generations of her family, marked by active membership of the Communist Party of Argentina. The voice off contextualizes and questions images of her grandparents’ house, slides from her grandfather’s trip to the Soviet bloc in the 1970s, letters and photographs. More than a collection of personal objects or a history of the Argentinian left in the 20th century, the film unfolds as an essay on the place of utopia in the face of facts, political urgencies and strategies and affective interaction between people.
