A short film based on the tragic death of the Guerrilla captain Carlos Lamarca and his companion Zequinha in the scrubland of Bahia in September 1971. Influenced by “cordel literature”, the film invents a meeting between Lamarca and the outlaw Lampião. Understood as being “against the democratic regime”, the film was banned by the dictatorship and received its first screening only in 1985.
