A kind of contemporary Don Quixote, a homeless lunatic roams the streets of Salvador trying to free himself from misery through hallucinatory imagination. Enduring successive frustrations in the face of a hostile reality indifferent to his plight, the tragicomic hero refuses to give in and remains true to his playful, libertine spirit, spinning his final and desperate patriotic fantasy.
