Based on Chico Buarque’s Fazenda Modelo novel, Lin e Katazan is a parable on the difficult relationship between a civil construction worker, Lin, and a foreman, Katazan. Lin, with his placid, detached behavior, finds joy in simple activities, such as showering, and explores bodily and spiritual self-knowledge. Katazan, in turn, is suspicious and insecure as to his authority as foreman. The everyday experience creates a growing tension in Katazan which, aggravated by Lin’s peaceful and confident attitude, achieves a tragic outcome.
