Inspired by the novel Thomas L`Obscur by Maurice Blanchot, in which the protagonist is the reader of the novel himself. Hill plays Thomas. Images of the sea ravishing the shore are inter-cut with extreme close-ups of the text, the texture of the pages and the book itself being flooded with ocean waves.
