The Minas Gerais native, a photographer and drawer, recounts the genesis of his Estatuto da Divisão Territorial, featured in the 18th Festival. In his statement, he cross-references memories of childhood feelings, pictures of landscapes, and the experience of erecting a building from the ground up, revealing a poetics where the artist opens up to interferences from the medium on his practice. He also discusses his encounter with the Festival, which he has followed since it embraced all existing languages, in its 17th edition.
