The themed video series created especially for this edition of the Festival launches with a focus on the spatial arrangement of curatorial narratives in the space devoted to the exhibitions, particularly at Sesc Pompéia. To this end, the dialogue between curators and architects is illustrated in such a way as to reflect the work process. In light of the arrangements and language and theme similitudes that tie together the selected works, chief architect André Vainer and his assistant Tiago Wright elaborate on the particularities of this exhibition project. In a partial way, the spectator is allowed to understand the behind-the-scene aspects of artwork set-up and installation. A few characteristics bear noting: the enabling and maintenance of the fluidity of the original space; the elimination, as much as possible, of design elements that concentrate in the perimeter of the premises; the directing of viewers to move more openly along the curatorial arrangements; the building of breathers between the artworks; and the imbuing of each piece’s set-up with a spatial quality.
