The artists Angela Detanico and Rafael Lain present their visual identity for the 19th Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil | Southern Panoramas, and their quest to reflect the curatorial project in the graphic design project. The starting points for their research were Africa (more specifically the alphabet created by Ivory Coast artist Frédéric Bruly Bouabré) and the boundaries of the legibility of symbols. Ideas for different applications of the visual identity designed by the Detanico Lain duo are presented by the artist Deco Farkas, in charge of brand animation, and by designers Carla Castilho and Lia Assumpção, of Janela Estúdio, who created the exhibition signs for the Sesc Pompeia and Galpão VB venues, as well as the three 19th Festival publications.
