Featured in the Videobrasil Collection in Context #1 exhibition (alongside Cláudio Bueno, from Brazil), the artist elaborates on his video installation Proposal for a Porn Company. The exhibit is a showcase of the results of the eponymous prize whereby both artists spent seasons in residency at Casa Tomada, São Paulo, and the Delfina Foundation, London, in late 2012, exploring the Collection of Associação Cultural Videobrasil in depth. Khaled stresses that the richness of this aspect of the residency, his experiencing of the metropolises of São Paulo and London, and his own past history led him to create the piece, an inquiry into power codes and symbols whose starting point is male attire and apparel.
