The artist talks about her work Jardim de Aclimatação XXI, exhibited in the 20th Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil. The installation shows archives as stemming from a human impulse for cataloging and conservation, a sign of the desire to control and apprehend that is inherent to our species. The artist states: “I began developing an idea that the Botanical Garden was like a cabinet of curiosities. But it was an unnatural cabinet of curiosities.”
