Comprised by works submitted during an open call in 2012, the competitive show Southern Panoramas keeps the risk factor historically valued by the Festival - instead of focusing in theoretical premises, the curated show intends to be an articulated platform of artistic practices, themes, discourses, procedures and strategies.

The curating board is formed by Solange Farkas, Eduardo de Jesus, Fernando Oliva and Júlia Rebouças, with the support of Diego Matos as assistant curator. Together, the team analysed a body of more than 2.000 projects submitted during the open call, eventually selecting 106 works by 94 artists to integrate the competitive show.
