She works with video, performance and installation, often in cinematographic formats that subvert the logic of storytelling. Mesiti’s interest lies on states of ecstasy and unusual experiences of language in different contemporary contexts. Her work has featured on shows and institutions such as the Georges Pompidou Center, Paris, France (2010); Tate Modern, London (2010); Loop Gallery, Seoul; Para/Site Artspace Hong Kong, (2010); and the 3rd Yebisu International Festival for Art and Alternative Visions, Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography (2011). Rapture (silent anthem) received the Blake Prize for Religious Art in 2009.
