The artist explores the tension between the individual and collective, public and private in works that involve the artistic object, installation, video, text and performance. A visual arts graduate, Cheng has shown work at solo exhibitions, such as All the Others, Ruimte Moruen, Antwerp, Belgium (2011); and at the collective shows Schriftur/Scripture, CCBruges, Brussels (2012); Young Belgian Painters Award (2011); Bozar, Brussels (2011); and Narrative/Identity, AC Institute, New York (2010). He lives and works in Berche, Belgium.
