Since 2011, Bárbara Wagner (Brazil, 1980) and Benjamin de Burca (Germany, 1975) have used video essays, photo-surveys, and interviews to address issues such as the commodification of traditional collective practices and the folklorization of pop culture in emerging economies. They have taken part of exhibitions such as the 33rd Panorama de Arte Brasileira, São Paulo (2013), 36th EVA International Biennial, Limerick (2014), and 32nd Bienal de São Paulo (2016). They were the only Brazilian artists selected for the Skulpture Projekte Münster 2017. They live in Recife.
