Visual artist graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Lacoste, and the California Institute of the Arts, Valencia. Through painting, drawing, engraving, embroidery and installation, she addresses the ideas of place, memory, and how life and art intertwine or, in her words, “are the same.” The materiality of objects in space is at the heart of her explorations, which are intimately rooted in personal identity politics, often referencing feminine practices and traditional cultural identifiers. She has recently taken part in an exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Schiedam, Netherlands (2023); the SANATORIUM Gallery, Istanbul, Turkey (2022); the Rele Gallery, Los Angeles, USA (2021); and at the 1st Stellenbosch Triennale, South Africa (2020). She lives in Amsterdam.
