Letícia Ramos is a visual artist. Her work ranges from photography and video, with possible developments in installation, object, performance, and artist book. Her interest lies in creating her own photographic apparatuses, conducting extensive research and projects that outline a possible reality, though distant, emulating the more inventive aspects of scientific investigation. Ramos holds a degree in architecture from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and Cinema from the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation (FAAP). She has taken part in exhibitions and galleries shows, such as the Tate Modern, London; Paço das Artes, São Paulo; Centro Cultural São Paulo; and the Bahia Museum of Modern Art, Salvador, among others. She was selected for the Rumos Itaú Cultural project (2009). She was awarded several prizes, such as the Prêmio Marc Ferrez – Funarte (2010), Prêmio Brasil Fotografia – Pesquisas Contemporâneas (2012); and the fellowship in the first edition of Bolsa de Fotografia, from Instituto Moreira Salles (2013), with the project Microfilme. She lives and works in São Paulo.
