He studied fine arts at La Esmeralda, at National Centre for Arts in Mexico city. In 1999, Arriola produced paseo catódico. This video was awarded best editing and second place in the “experimental category” at vid@rte. He was awarded a sccholarship by the National fund for Culture and the Arts(Jóvenes Creadores Conaculta-Fonca 2000-2001) In 2001 he creates the video King, wich was screened at 13th Videobrasil at Sao Paulo. In 2003 He has involves his video work in an opera, Die eroberung von Mexiko, performed at Teatro Juárez in Guanajuato and at electronic music event Refuge, at Laboratorio Arte Alameda in Mexico city. For this museum he creates eight tv spots and the documentary Mona Hatoum. In 2003 he curated the 1st Bienal Nacional de Arte Universitario for Escuela de Artes at UAEM Toluca.
